There is masses of information swirling around our world about our power and ability as Divine Beings. Lots of great stuff telling us that we can manifest the life we want and introducing us to angels and other Divine Helpers and so on. All of this is wonderful of course and I am one of those people who teach this really great information. However there is a real problem that needs to be addressed. New Age Junkies (NAJs). People who get high on the ideas presented but don't know how to bring it into their life in a real and powerful way. So they just keep going back for that quick high, the shot that raises their vibration so that they feel great, no matter what their life actually looks like. If you identify as an NAJ, then this article is for you.
Let me just start by saying that NAJs are not pikers, these are not people who are avoiding taking responsibility for their life. These are usually people who are very dedicated to changing their life and absolutely believe that the Universal Laws and other Empowerment focuses are the primary solution to the difficulties they've been having. But each time they go to a seminar, a workshop, etc, they get really clear and focused on how to change their life, how to achieve their goals - they can feel the energy flow and everything coming into being.... Then they get out into their normal daily life and nothing actually happens. Then the joy, the lightheartedness all start to seep away. They get into a cycle of attending workshops, seminars and other get-togethers just to maintain some reasonable level of light and happiness, but nothing is happening in their life. In other words, they become addicted to the external high, because they are unable to figure out how to bring the action they need into their life. Sooner or later the highs start dropping, just like drugs, first you need more and more, and then it doesn't matter how much you get the seminars, courses etc become less affective.
There is a solution and it comes in two parts. The first is to break the cycle. Stop attending these workshops, courses and seminars. Don't get me wrong, I run training seminars myself and love a big turnout, however, these systems are only useful if they are empowering you. If you're not getting what you need from them (and by that I mean useful tools that work in your life) then stop! The information you are coming into at these courses may be exactly what you need, but not right now. What you are doing is not working for you and you need to keep your eye on the goal - which is taking charge of your life.
The reason this training isn't working for you is because you have blocks. Pieces of you, of your psyche that are tied up elsewhere, whether it be this life or past life trauma, beliefs locked in and forgotten that direct a part of your energy badly, or even some form of dark energy that is interfering with your life. If you can accept the idea that you need to look deeper to find the solution to your difficulties then you are off to a great start.
So once you have removed yourself from the cycle, you need to look at exploring and breaking down the blocks. To do this, you may need to change your immediate goal from building the life you want (finding the perfect partner, fulfilling your life purpose for example), to being absolutely committed to clearing all blocks and resolving all issues that are stopping you from creating the life you want for yourself. Your commitment to this goal needs to be clear and focused and unbending.
Now that you have this new goal, it's time to start accomplishing it. The first step is to look at very directed methods of working with these issues. I highly recommend one-on-one work. It may be expensive, but it definitely targets the blocks and eliminates them. So look at what is available to you, remember to ask the Universe for help and guidance as to what your next step is. Great examples include therapeutic counselling which is often available from non profit organisations for minimal fees, good quality healers that are experienced in clearing blocks (make sure you read their website or pamphlet and learn how they work), or NLP practitioners for example who work with creating a framework for the mental system that directs you towards your goals. There are many different kinds of therapists and healers and you can guarantee that there will be those who are able to help you.
A few helpful hints to consider. Just because a healer or therapist helps you immensely at some point in this process does not mean that they are the ones to deal with all aspects of this journey you are on. Be prepared to work with several different therapists at different times (or even at the same time). Also, there may be times during this journey that you will need a break or just want to read books - listen to yourself (sometimes those books have great information that you connect with at the right time). Just keep reminding yourself of what the goal is and taking a step back every now and then and making sure you are still on track.
