Your Soul Purpose

I love focusing on Soul Purpose. It is something that each person has but not everyone has full access to. It is very simply the Divine expression on Earth.

We all have ways to express the Divine on Earth. We each have special gifts, that we can share with the world. It is hard to imagine for some people that they have anything special or sacred at all, but we all do. We see it whenever we see someone doing something that they are great at - we see the creative force flow through them and watch in awe and admiration as they do their thing. We see it with healers, public speakers, musicians, artists, entrepeneurs, journalists, quilters, mothers, fathers, gardeners, cooks and so on. It's not really about what you do, it's about the energy flow with which you do it and that energy flow comes from passion, and connection (conscious or not) to the Divine Source.

Discovering what your gift is can be quite a journey for some, for others they've known since birth. Either way it doesn't matter, because whatever that experience is for you, the Divine flow is happening as you explore, not just once you arrive at the realisation of what it is you are here to do. You may have more than one aspect to your purpose - I am a healer, a teacher, a writer and on and on it goes. There are people like me who also write songs, or paint and so on. Wonderful expressions of sacredness!

If you aren't sure what your purpose is, some great ways to explore include looking at what you loved to do as a child - did you love to paint with colours, sing, did you have a fascination in something, do you have a fascination in something now? Are you passionate about something? Remember to think outside the square... for example, do you absolutely love music, but have no musical ability - consider expressions like radio jockey or sound technician - these amazing gifted craftspersons are fulfilling their soul purpose as well.

Although I keep talking about the obvious industries such as spiritual/emotional well being and art and music, don't consider for one minute that there is any job too 'small' or 'mundane' for Divine Expression. I have seen the sacred expressed in accountancy, rubbish tip workers, shop assistants and more. It is important to look at what you are passionate about rather than what you think you should be focused on based on current societal opinion.

Please remember that you do have a Sacred Purpose here on Earth, if you haven't found it yet, your commitment to finding it and healing yourself are key. It's also important to commit to expressing the Divine in everything you do - especially when you have yet to figure out your purpose as this is a sure-fire way to bring you closer to the sacred and therefore closer to your True Purpose.
